Facebook is getting in on the movie ticket battle royale

In AMC's continuing quest to invigorate moviegoing and destroy MoviePass, the company has now joined up with Facebook to offer users another ticket-purchasing option, Deadline reports.

Starting soon, Facebook users will have the option to buy tickets through AMC after selecting a theater and showtime through the Movies tab on their home pages (other options include Fandango or Atom Tickets). The idea is to capitalize on the fact that people are already browsing Facebook and would readily buy movie tickets there rather than opening a new app or browser.
